  • Must pass background check

  • Two years of college (preferred)

  • Good computer skills (required)

  • Demonstrate organizational skills (employment experience)

  • Relates well with the public (experience & determined in interview)

  • General knowledge of bookkeeping (not required, but a plus)


  • Answer telephone, take messages, greet visitors & professionals

  • Filing, organization & maintenance of records & case files

  • Type court reports if necessary

  • Assist with banking, billing, and payments

  • Assist/manage outgoing correspondence

  • Continual update of databases

  • Manage front end office area and CASA inventory

  • Responsible for clerical details for events such as Christmas Home Tour, Superhero Run, Polk County Fundraisers, other charity events, appreciation events and trainings

  • Purchase items and inventory for events

  • Purchase office supplies

  • Responsible for office details such as arranging car maintenance, exterminations, and other office needs

  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director.


  • Full Time (32-40 hours per week; NON-EXEMPT)

  • Supervisor: CASA Executive Director

  • $15.00 Per Hour


The position requires a flexible schedule as events may occur in the evenings or on weekends. He/she will spend some time in the office that could involve intermittent physical activities including bending, reaching, sitting and walking during working hours. Additionally, it is anticipated that the person may spend several hours each week seated at a PC. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable a person with physical disabilities to perform the job.
